COLLECTION - MILK BATH
Ok…so if you look up ‘milk photography’, you’re going to get a lot of maternity and baby pictures. Mostly naked mothers to-be and babies soaking in milk. Part of me thinks that whole concept is pretty weird. But the artistic side of me saw the beauty in the accompanying flowers and thought that effect was something worth trying! I loved how the milky water hid parts of the flower and at the same time produced a very even, smooth and clean sort of background. I wanted to try this partial submersion technique, but just with the flowers and plants. So that was the birth of this idea. (See what I did there?) It was another creative way to photograph flowers and plants. It was also an indoor shoot, great for a New England winter, and a controlled lighting shoot so I got to practice those skills (of which I am admittedly not very good at). I will probably add to this collection at some point, just wondering what else might look good in a milky immersion…
